I had a great weekend at The Yellow House and Joanna Furnace's Apple Fest. I'd like an old-fashioned herb garden like the furnace has. Here, the ladies are dying indigo, and I got a bag of raw wool from them for eighteenth-century doll wigs and other wooly things. I also scored an Early American Costumes book from the forties that was a real find as it is full of Native American clothing as well as settlers and patterns to boot.
